A fast-paced, humourous look a B-rated science-fiction movies. Players are creating bad horror and sci-fi films using cards that represent characters, props, locations, creatures and special effects. Creatures are used to attack characters. Props and locations can strengthen characters against creatures. Whoever has the strongest characters in play when the credits roll wins the game.
I don't play a lot of card games, but Grave Robbers From Outer Space was an instant favorite of mine from the very first time I got to play it. Part of a set of B-movie card games produced by Z-Man Games (http://www.zmangames.com), this is a must for any B-movie buff.
Full of wild set locations, crazy characters, great quotes, running jokes, and stunning comic book style artwork, you can spend hours playing this game with friends. And from experience, the game only gets more fun the more you play it as you think up nefarious and complicated schemes to make sure your B-movie is the winner in the end!
Grave Robbers is only the first deck in the set. The additional decks all cover a different genre of B-movies and can be played in conjunction with any of the other decks. This is very helpful if you're wanting to play the game with a larger number of players.
- Bushwhackin' Varmints out of Sergio's Butte
- Scurvy Musketeers of the Spanish Main
- Berserker Halflings from the Dungeon of Dragons
- Bell-Bottomed Badassses on the Mean Streets of Funk
- Grave Robbers 2: Skippy's Revenge
- Kung Fu Samurai on Giant Robot Island
- Cannibal Pygmies in the Jungle of Doom
I fully recommend this game and others in the set to anyone.
