When I was in college, one of my RA's had a visitor from Scotland come to stay with her who liked to play the guitar and sing.  That was my first experience hearing a Divine Comedy song (The Frog Princess), and I was hooked from the start.  Since I hadn't heard of the Divine Comedy here in the States, I asked my new friend to mail me a copy of the CD that song was from when he got home.

Since that time I've sought to purchase every Divine Comedy CD I could get my hands on.   The Divine Comedy is witty, sarcastic, lyrical, and utterly brilliant. I could listen to Neil Hannon perform all day long.  Nothing compares to it.   The music is not your standard fare here in the US but it's well worth taking a chance on something new.
