On a whim, I got this for my 8 year old daughter for Christmas. She does not really like science as school, so, hoping to peak her interest in learning more about science, I picked this up. We have had a blast together working through this series of disgusting experiments! I would highly recommend this product for anyone that wants to spend quality time with their kids having fun and having a quality learning experience at the same time.

As good as Joss Stone's previous efforts are, Introducing Joss Stone represents a giant step forward: there's a freshness to these songs that suits her age (19 as of the album's release) and a funkiness that suits modern pop sensibilities. There's also a cross-hatching of visions with artists like Lauryn Hill and Common that will rightly advance her reputation as an artist who can sling disco, R&B, and rock almost as convincingly as soul. Splicing girl-group harmonies with blaxploitation-style funk with Joplin-esque and, at times, Shelby Lynne-reminiscent vocals, Stone works these Raphael Saadiq-produced beats with the stealth and steadiness of a '70s-era legend who's still going strong. "Girl They Won't Believe It," she wails against the tight hoo-hoo harmonizing of talented backup singers on the opening track; get a load of how much she's accomplished in the space of three albums, and you won't believe it, either. --Tammy La Gorce

The third album from Joss Stone is another infusion of intoxicating Retro Soul from England. The latest British Invasion let by Amy Winehouse, Joss Stone, and KT Tunstall has given us an absolutely excellent array of entertaining music. Plus, Joss is hot ... that does not hurt ;)

My wife finally convinced me to leave the tube behind and go LCD HDTV. If you are looking for good bang for your buck, this Visio is an excellent choice. At just under $1000 you get 42 inches of HDTV goodness. Comes with 2 HDMI outputs and all the needed tuners built in to get you HD signals. Although, don't forget that you still need to purchase your HDMI cables and get a HD Antenna.
So far, I am loving this TV. And, I don't expect my feelings are going to be changing!

My daughter's 8th birthday was this week and I got her a Nintendo DS. Thinking that she would only be interested in "little girl" games I got her a Hanna Montana game and a Highschool Musical game for her new DS.
On a whim, I got her this game also. And it has been amazing. She has barely touched Hanna Montana and Highschool Musical. She has been glued to Pokemon Diamond.
She absolutely loves catching, training, and deuling her pokemon.
If you are shopping for DS games for a little girl, don't overlook this title! Pokemon Diamond is exciting and fun enough to appeal to the girliest of litlte girls (my daughter!).
