Why I shop online
Convenience. It takes at least 10-15 minutes to get to the places I would shop. It takes much longer to walk down aisles and reading the fine print on packaging.
I can do all the same in much less time from the Internet.

Pros: The concept is very appealing. The fact that it can hook up with an optical output and Dolby Digital Surround Sound is its selling point. I notice that this thing can hook up to almost any platform. Fiber Optic, Coaxial, and Analog connections. Teammates tell me that I come in clear through the mic. Very easy to setup if you have some common sense. The subwoofer separately is nice with the rumble but doesnt make up for the other speakers. Sound separation is nice too. Very crisp sound bu... Inexpensive gift idea. I am so buying this. Normally, something like this is a gamble - and it still is, but it's gotten 4.5 stars after 100+ reviews. The complaints I have seen are either flukish (don't correct my verbage) or completely acceptable.

For the $50-$80 price range this deal can't be beat. You always read about the low price and ease of setup / interoperability of linksys wireless routers, but you don't read about the range limitations. I did my homework and unless you want to fork out the extra cash, you are limited to about 50 ft inside of a house with a few walls. I don't know about your needs, but I live in a modest 1660 SQ.FT house and need at least 80ft range and reliability. I took my laptop down to the end of the block and remained connected to the internet - it was like 300+ FT. I was impressed.
As far as ease of setup and interoperability, I am not sure what they are talking about. I just skipped all the complicated stuff during the install - next, next, typical, choose recommended, etc. - I don't see a need for making the install any easier. Maybe they could have thrown in some pictures of a beach or something. It just had more options if you know what you're doing.
Interoperability? My wife has some generic wireless built in to her laptop and she connects to the d-link router better than my laptop with linksys. I have also had company over with wireless and they have had no problems either.
Reliabilty? I have had this router for over a year and have only had to reboot it ONCE! Also, the web interface allows me secured access from work so I can tell the router which PC to remote desktop to from work.
Pros: Price, Range, Reliability, Features, and PRICE.
I'll admit it. My funds aren't where I want them to be and I want to be able to gift people. Namely, my kids, but I need inexpensive gift ideas to produce a good quantity of gifts that are quality for the price. Workin' on a list and c
