I Like People
I love helping people and giving gifts. Sometimes it is a challenge to find the right gift to say Thank You or I appreciate you or I love you or Congratulations. As a matter of fact, being a guy, I hate shopping (unless its for that really cool 72" plasma), Yeah right... in my dreams.
I just was not born with that shopping gene in me... So what is it that us guys are supposed to do to overcome it? (I mean, besides giving the task to your girlfriend, wife, significant other or your MOM) C'mon this is the information age... and giving the task to someone else is cheating... we can do better than that. I never want to grow up... I'm one of those guys that loves his toys and does not want to give them up. But think about how many points you could score with everyone and they will even think you are a responsible grown up and overlook the fact that you sit there playing WOW for seven hours a day longer than you should if you could find an easy, fast way of remembering and acknowledging everyone around you.
I think I found the solution.
1) Find an online store that has a huge selection of products that is constantly being updated.
2) Find a store with a gift reminder service (they will email you when in time to get that gift for ...)
3) Find a store that has a directory and a search tool so you don't have to spend a lot of time there.
I recently found one and my life has never been better. Its like a game. The object is to remember every little item going on in peoples lives and acknowledge it with a little trinket without getting yelled at.
Now instead of hearing "Put down that damn joystick, get off your ass and help me with..." I hear things like Awww, I can't believe you remembered my... or You didn't have to do that.... or the best one "You mean you got this just because you were thinking about me?
Everyone loves you and it actually feels great because if you're like me you really do care... and seeing the expression on the person's face makes it all worth it...
It does take away from the gadget budget but is well worth it when you can get back to playing WOW in peace (and actually not feel guilty anymore for not acknowledging the ones you really do love...)
P.S. If anyone can figure out a way to have the reminders come up in World of Warcraft and be able to order stuff from within the game. Please let me know...;)
